His theoretical work was recognized with the Alfred P. Sloan
Fellowship, the NSF CAREER Award, and the Machtey Award. He enjoys hurtling through space atop his Ducati, geeking out on electronic music and art flicks, pinning new tacks on the map, and low frequency effects. |

Phil heads the Stanford Information Networking Group and is a
recipient of the Microsoft New Faculty Fellowship.
Heir to a long line of Rabbis and doctors, he tried to pursue academic
achievements from an early age.
His first efforts gravitated towards his own fickle interests, the resulting
assessments on the part of his instructors being correspondingly dismal.
He has since righted this wrong by assessing others. |
