Overview

I'm currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science at Stanford University, working with Vladlen Koltun on technologies for virtual worlds. I'm also a part-time consultant for eHuman.

Broadly speaking, I'm interested in computer graphics. Because I've had so many great and terrible teachers during my time as a student, I'm also very concerned with the process of teaching math and science, and so I dabble in educational technology and related fields from time to time. If you're interested, you can read about some of my work, or check out my most recent project, Dryad.

In the past, I worked with Ron Fedkiw on computational fluid dynamics, was an Architecture Intern and on the CUDA team at NVIDIA Corporation, a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at UC Santa Cruz, a master's student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Research Assistant for John Hart. I was awarded my M.S. in Computer Science from UIUC in 2005, after graduating with a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics in 2003. In 2000, I graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia.
